Aims and Scope
iBiomedicine covers the major research areas of biomedicine, across diseases of multiple organ systems. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:
Basic medical research
- Mechanisms of disease and pathophysiology
- Epigenetics, genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics
- Molecular and cell biology
- Signal transduction and gene regulation
- Microbiology, immunology, and inflammatory mechanisms
- Molecular basis of pharmacology and drug-target discovery
Translational medical research
- Discovery and validation of new therapeutic targets
- Gene therapy, cell therapy, and immunotherapy
- Targeted therapy and small-molecule drug development
- Regenerative medicine and tissue engineering
- Nanomedicine and drug-delivery systems
- Biomarker discovery and early diagnostic technologies
- Molecular imaging and precision diagnostics
Clinical medical research
- Clinical studies of cardiovascular, oncologic, neurologic, metabolic, respiratory, digestive, infectious, and autoimmune diseases
- Clinical trials and observational studies
- Epidemiology and public health
- Personalized and precision medicine
- Artificial intelligence and big data in medicine
The journal particularly welcomes preclinical studies with clear relevance to human health, proof-of-concept work, and clinical trials at any phase. Submissions are welcome from early mechanistic exploration through clinical validation, provided they have scientific value and translational potential.
Article types
Reviews and original research articles are the main article types, in roughly equal proportion. Short communications, case reports, commentaries, and opinion pieces are also considered.
